Promarketing Manages The Netherlands Economic Mission To Ukraine, July 2008

In July 2008 Ukraine hosted an official visit of the Netherlands Economic Mission leadšby the Netherlands Minister for Foreign Trade, Mr. Frank Heemskerk.šOfficial business delegation consisted of about 25 companies active in production of goods and services applied for the sport, transport and hotel infrastructure development.

Promarketing on behalf of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands was responsible for the general program development of the Mission’s stay in Kiev. Promarketing managed to set up individual meetings for mission participants with representatives of national and local authorities of Ukraine and private businesses involved in preparation of Ukraine to host Final Tournament of the European Football Championship 2012. Also, together with Football Federation of Ukraine, Promarketing organized collective seminar at the Football House, where invited representatives of the host cities municipalities reported on the status and prospects of their cities preparation for the UEFA EURO 2012 hosting.

After Kiev Netherlands Economic Mission left with an official visit for Warsaw.

Mr. Frank Heemskerk stated:

“With great pleasure I head this economic mission to the two largest markets in Central and Eastern Europe: Poland and Ukraine. Both countries have great economic potential and have attracted the attention of Dutch companies during these last years. The coming years Poland and Ukraine will be even more in the spotlight, since they will co-host a great sports event: the 2012 European Championship Football. This will present a big challenge for both countries, as well as an excellent opportunity to show their capacity and potential.

The business opportunities offered by Euro 2012 are numerous and vary from infrastructure to security and consultancy. A group of Dutch companies has established a task force aimed at seizing these opportunities and a public-private cooperation programme has been set up in this respect. I am convinced that Dutch business has much to offer.”
