Promarketing Manages The Netherlands Mission On Construction And Infrastructure To Ukraine, September 2008

The Netherlands Mission on Construction and Infrastructure has visited Ukraine on September 15-18, 2008. Promarketing was responsible for a general management of this Mission.

This Mission for Infrastructure and Construction to Ukraine was held as a part of an extensive programme of events organised by the Taskforce EURO 2012 on behalf of the EVDš(Agency for International Business and Cooperation of the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Netherlands)šwithin the framework of the 2g@there programme. The goal of the Taskforce is to optimise the chances for Dutch companies to profit from the opportunities that arise in Poland and Ukraine as a result of hosting the UEFA EURO 2012. Therefore, the main goal of the mission was to present the Dutch participants with the business opportunity in the sectors building and construction and infrastructure development.

The agenda of the mission was designed to cover the needs of all as well as each individual participant. Besides individual matchmaking meetings the mission included a collective programme with networking events hosted by the Royal Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, as well as a welcoming dinner and a seminar.

The Trade Mission encompassed participants ranging from the representatives of associations willing to meet respective Ukrainian bodies for discussing potential cooperation platforms to the private entrepreneurs seeking to find their best matching potential partners in Ukraine. Participants, that represented twelve Dutch companies, were active in different construction and infrastructure subsectors, including manufacturers and suppliers for airports, streets and roads regulations, cleansing and development and others.

All Dutch companies gave a positive feedback on the individual matchmaking meetings highlighting the opportunities for business and cooperation that these meeting presented to them. Most of the companies have already agreed with the Ukrainian potential partners on the follow up meetings and are at the stage of discussing and negotiating the offers made.
